Removing Stains From Your Mattress and Other Furniture
First, check your manufacturer's warranty to see what it's 'stain policy' is. In some cases, it does in fact cover stain removal if the warranty has not expired yet. In either case, the stain will need to be attended to immediately. There are many different suggestions for removing stains from a mattress of any piece of upholstery, so results may vary.
Beer
If the beer stain just occurred, then try to blot it up with a paper towel or white cloth.
Mix a teaspoon of regular dishwashing detergent with warm water.
Take a spoonful of the mixture and cover the stained area completely.
Blot the area with the paper towel or white cloth.
Rinse the area with warm water.
If the stain does not come out then repeat the same steps only using vinegar and warm water. Usually 1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water mixture.
If the stain still does not remove, then take a look at the beer label. Is it a darker beer such as a stout or porter? These styles usually tend to produce a nasty stain and quite possibly require more commercial methods such as either trying different enzyme or upholstery cleaners or a professional cleaning service.
